Are you driving men away?
There are certain things which you might be doing unintentionally but are major turn offs for guys. Never known until you read and discover it..
1. Bad Hygiene & Sloppy
Dandruff everywhere? Underarm smells? Didn’t comb your hair before going out? Under dress? Too messy? Who cares, right?
If it ever comes down to a debate focusing on the negatives, he does. Bad hygiene & Sloppiness is among the top turn offs for guys. Guys dislike it and will avoid the company of girls with bad aroma and who do not know how to groom themselves up. Always remember that guys crave for presentable ladies. You do not need to be beautiful but at least be neat and well groom, with a little make up and pleasant image, definitely, it will create a remarkable impression to the guy.
Saw an articles regards to boyfriend broke up with his girl because he can’t endure with her bad hygiene & sloppiness. If you continue to avoid these hygienic acts and always lazy, eventually it draws the guys away from you.
2. Too Much Talking, Gossips, Complaints
Blabber. Blabber. Have you ever been called blabbermouth? noisy? complain queen?
An excessive and insensitive talking also turn a guy off. No doubt, they love to listen, but what they hate is when all they have to do is to listen all the time. This creates an imbalance in conversation when a guy is not given enough time to make his talking. It’s even worst when your topic is all about gossips and complaints.
I always believe that a good chit chat might brighten or cheer up one another but when it is too much or in a wrong way, as in… how to deter it? Firstly, when you are the only one speaking. Secondly, when your conversation gone too far to gossip, complains, swearing about others or life…etc…
Frequent swearing over petty matters shows that you are not mature enough to handle small matters, and thus makes your guy believe that you cannot last longer with him. Likewise, inappropriate laughter makes you appear irritating and less sincere in eyes of your guy.
And if she keeps on repeating this kind of conversational attitude, her guy will surely draw away sooner. Hence, Try to speak appropriately and don’t gossip or swear!
3. Wearing Too Much Makeup
two inches of powder? three inches of base? two layers of fake eyelashes? and thick grossly lip?
Reports from Daily Mail reviewed that 1 in 10 women say they wear makeup only to impress the opposite gender. Another 17% said they had to cancel a date if their makeup bag went missing, and 14% wouldn’t even leave the house with a naked face.
Wearing too much makeup? How do the guys define it? With nearly 40% of guys claiming that ladies go overboard – overdosing on the eyes, lip and blushes.
I once went out with this girl; it was just for a causal date, to me, it is not necessary to apply a thick makeup – two inches of powder, three inches of base. two layers of fake eyelashes, thick grossly lip and brows. In my mind, Are you going for a party today?
A little make up is cool, in fact a lot of women need a little make up. But with that said, many don’t need any at all. Most guys prefer in seeing your natural looks and not you with too much makeup on. So shed the layers and show them the real you.
4. Attention Seeker (with fast mood swing)
Are you the kind of girl who constantly puts herself down, just so others can pull you up again? Do you spend an hour making sure you look perfect, and then criticize yourself in front of a guy by telling him that you think you look really ugly?
Frequent putting yourself down, crying, acting emotionally and suddenly laughing ( fast mood swing from sad – happy) those are things that not only turn guys off but also will terrify them.
This is an attention seeker’s way of trying to get attention and flattery. Getting a guy to acknowledge just how awesome you are by tricking him or constantly criticizing yourself in the hope of getting pampered by him would just leave him annoyed. Guys aren’t dumb and they can see through this kind of attention seeking behavior. And they’d want to stay away from drama queens who just love all the attention they can get.
A crying girl fails to sexually arouse her guy and thus, he becomes less attracted toward her. Especially when your crying and frequent mood swing is not about sentimental issue but just seeking attention.
5. Being High Maintenance Unnecessarily
Indulged with branded and high end products? Using expensive stuffs only?
Yes, Why not? I bought all the branded stuffs out of my own pocket money. If I can afford, why should they bother? To be honest, guy is more concerning about how well your money management is. Do you save for future? or Do you spend your entire salary? If the guy are considering for a long term relationship or into marriage, he will want a wife that is able to manage his money wisely in the future.
6. Acting Desperate
Guys want to hook up with girls – there is no doubt – and a guy often doesn’t even mind it when a woman is not that hard to get. None of this means, though, that a woman should act desperate. A guy wants to feel like he has made a conquest. He does not want to feel like the chick he is hanging out with is desperate and would hang out with anyone. That is a total turn off.
7. Playing Hard to get
Playing hard to get is something that many women do. They probably were told when they were young that it is the right thing to do, that they shouldn’t be too easy and so on and so forth. Well, the thing is- just don’t do that. I mean, if you really are hard to get, then fine. That is cool. It isn’t like all women have to want just any old guy. But if you actually are into a guy and are teasing him and pretending you are not? Well, that is an entirely different story, and is also a total turn off. So ladies, do us a favor and knock it off.
8. Poor Manner
Poor bad manners can make a guy feel disappointed and upset by your behavior. Do you take ages to text a guy back to confirm about a date? Or do you excuse yourself to talk to someone you bumped into during your date, and leave the guy alone at the table for several minutes?
Poor social etiquette consists of so many things, like cutting a guy off in mid sentence when he’s saying something, being loud or rude to waiters, ordering a salad and stealing food from the guy’s plate like it’s your birthright to do so, always looking at mobile phone while with him, or laughing like a shrieking witch because something’s so darn funny! Or worst still, the accidental bomb – Farting.
These may seem like little things that no one notices, but trust me, these *little things*, well, they’re way more obvious and annoying that you think. You don’t have to be all perfect and ladylike, but at least have enough sense not to be a disgusting pig or to be mean to people publicly. If you can’t figure that out you will probably be alone for a while. A long while.
9. Being Manipulative or Controlling
Now a manipulative or controlling woman is a turn off, is that true?
Do you try to control everything a guy does when he’s around you? If he’s holding his chopsticks in a way you don’t approve of, do you feel the impulsive need to correct him? If it’s an occasional thing you do, that’s completely acceptable.
But if you find yourself constantly controlling or dominating a guy over everything he does or says when he’s with you, be it about his grammar, the places to go to, or your idea of what a good vacation spot is, he’s going to feel deflated and angry very soon.
Sometimes a woman is so good at being manipulative on a guy and even without them knowing what is happening. But honestly, soon or later, he (intelligent type) that can figure out what is going on just remind silent and silently left, he won’t say or do anything, to them is no point. Hence, Don’t act too smart and belittle the guy.
10. Too Quiet
Are you the kind of shy or introvert girl who doesn’t converse and prefer to sit quietly during a date? Always a “Yes” or “No”, ” It’s alright” or ” Nevermind”?
During my college time, I knew a girl that was very good in academic, sport activities and physically attractive. She is very popular in school and everyone knew her. A very perfect girl among us. Throughout the years in college. I’d noticed that those guys who have chased her end up with another girls. at that point, I was quite curious, what was the reason? Wasn’t she perfect? or was she having high expectation on guys? Just can’t understand why… In the end, some of the chaser told us that she is too quiet. During dating, the girl always remind silent, won’t initiate a topic to ask and always replying his question with “Ya”, ” Ok”, ” Maybe”.
A guy may be smitten enough by you to overlook this trait of yours initially. But if you just answer every question of his with monosyllables, or avoid asking him any questions back in return, unable to communicate with him in any topic? it’s definitely a dating turn off that’ll annoy him or make him assume you’re not interested in getting to know him better.
Nevertheless, being shy & quiet is not the issue. There are articles which mentioned that quiet ladies are smarter. However, the main issue is about poor communication. I always believe that a smart lady has good communication skill, but to certain point, it doesn’t applies to introvert
